Market: 12 years of development are now in the Santa Cruz V10. The latest stage of development for 2015 brings with it some promising changes and improvements. The hot downhill weapon will be available from specialist retailers from January.
The frame of the Santa Cruz V10 has been completely redesigned for the new generation. The bike rolls on 27.5 inch wheels and has an impressive 216 millimeters of spring travel at the rear. Santa Cruz continues to rely on the proven VPP system for sensitive response. In contrast to the previous model, the chassis should have less progression and thus a more linear characteristic. The geometry of the bike can be adjusted in two stages and thus offers the rider a steering angle of 64° or 63,5°. Other features of the full carbon frame include double sealed bearings, a 157 mm rear wheel axle and the ISCG-05 standard.
The complete bike is available in two versions: Carbon C and Carbon CC. The Carbon C with Shimano ZEE equipment is specified with a weight of 16,28 kilograms and has a FOX 40 RO/B suspension fork. A FOX DHX RC2 shock keeps the rear end in check. The more expensive Carbon CC is equipped with SRAM X01 components and, according to the manufacturer, only weighs 15,53 kilograms on the scales. A FOX 40 R Float RC2 Factory Kashima suspension fork does its job at the front, and a FOX DHX RC4 Factory Kashima shock absorber at the rear. Both complete bikes are available in three sizes. Separate frame sets are also available.
