List of E-MTBs bestsellers 2020
E-MTB test 2020: At first glance, the generic term "bestseller" may not seem very meaningful. So it does not correspond in any way to the usual drawers in which you otherwise put the bikes. But that was exactly our intention - we wanted to reflect the diversity of e-MTBs in one category.
That's why we deliberately refrained from making specifications regarding spring travel, wheel size, etc. when inviting the manufacturers to test. Rather, we asked for all-rounders which, according to the ideas of the more than 40 different manufacturers in the test, are ideal for a particularly broad group of buyers. Simply a bestseller. We only capped the price at around 5.500 euros to keep it separate from high-end bikes.
Our plan worked! The bestseller test field is like a colorful bouquet of modern e-mountain bikes of all kinds, from comfortable touring e-MTBs to bikes with high downhill potential. Of course, we had to take this divergence into account in the evaluation. It's not the bike with the best downhill or uphill qualities that wins the test, but the best all-round package. Each manufacturer has different approaches as to which concept is most suitable for the general public. We included in the evaluation whether these approaches worked.
