Test / accessories: Evoc presents the new Evoc Trail Pro 16 II backpack, combining safety, carrying comfort and storage space for a day tour or a relaxed home trail round. The Liteshield Plus protector provides protection in the event of a fall, and the extra-wide hip and chest straps offer sufficient comfort and a good fit.
The Munich company has been developing backpacks and products for different types of action sports for over ten years now. This experience is also reflected in the modern design and construction of the Evoc Trail Pro 16 II; Visually an eye-catcher, beautifully divided compartments and a pleasant wearing comfort.

Attractive appearance
The test model made available to us came in an elegant "light olive" and we liked it very much. Anyone who is often out and about in trail centers and bike parks will have seen the Munich-based company's products a number of times. To get straight to the point: the new Trail Pro 16 will no doubt be seen more often on the trail in the future.
The coloring of the trail backpack changes from a dark olive to a lighter tone and is decorated with a discreet Evoc logo. Visually really very appealing.
Comfort with a small weak point
An absolute highlight are the carrying straps. The generously cut shoulder straps distribute the weight very comfortably and thanks to the clever brace link, the distance adapts to every shoulder width. The wide and well-padded hip wings nestle comfortably and offer space for smartphones, lift tickets, snacks or keys in the two pockets.
The back part of the Trail Pro adapts to the shape, but offers a little less air circulation and will therefore ensure wet backs when the outside temperatures are higher. In connection with the Liteshield Plus protector, the whole thing unfortunately also seems a bit stiff.
The protector is very interesting: The Liteshield Plus System is a new, extremely light, flexible and temperature-resistant back protector, which consists of a two-component sandwich construction that combines expanded polypropylene and a TPU carrier layer. It makes a stable impression, but seems a bit stiffer than, for example, a D3O or the flexible SAS-Tec products.
Ample storage space
The structure of the Evoc Trail Pro 16 II is typical of a trail backpack and offers the option of mounting a helmet on the front. The outermost compartment is dedicated to tools and spare parts and offers well-organized storage space with the small mesh compartments. A clever solution is that the bag can be opened easily with gloves thanks to a strap and the contents are easy to access. Above that is the padded glasses compartment, which also offers enough space for a pair of goggles.
In the main compartment we have enough space to store rain jackets, snacks and the like. In addition to a mesh compartment for valuables and keys, there is also the option of accommodating a water bladder. The hose of the water bladder is fed through an opening on the right shoulder strap and fastened there with a loop and a clip. The Liteshield mentioned above is stowed in the back wall of the main compartment and can be easily removed if necessary. The large compartment is opened with a generously proportioned zip and offers enough space for a day trip with lots of accessories.
