Particularly high pressures are often a major challenge for both the pump and the person pumping. Mountain bikers are fine in this regard. Here, a high level of air transport is required for voluminous tires, but the air pressure remains in the lower range. Completely different requirements. Structure of the Bontrager Dual Charger Floor pump
The Bontrager Dual Charger Floor pump allows you to choose between two pressure settings. There is a lever on the pump foot for this purpose. The HV setting is for high volume tires, while the HP setting is for high pressure tires. Both positions are marked in color and the color is also reflected on the display for easier orientation. The display is also located at the base of the pump. With a diameter of around 98 millimeters, the dial is definitely not stingy with size. Like the pump body, the pump foot itself is made of steel. Interchangeable internal parts are designed to ensure a long service life. Inside the ergonomic plastic handle there are two additional adapters for balls and air mattresses.

Ease of use is the absolute trump card with this pump. This is already evident in the Auto-Select pump head, which automatically adapts to Presta and Schrader valves. After turning the lever, the pump head sits reliably and tightly on the respective valve. The solid construction of a wide steel base and steel pump body ensures a firm footing and wobble-free inflation. The grip tape glued to the foot of the pump gives the shoe sole additional support. The long hose with a length of 113 centimeters allows a large radius of action. Depending on the tire, the high-volume setting or the high-pressure setting can be used. The differences in pumping are enormous. The high-volume setting enables very fast inflation in the lower pressure range of up to around 5 bar. The high-pressure setting is recommended for high-pressure tires. Even high pressures are possible in this setting without any effort. The current tire air pressure can be read on the very easy-to-read display, and the pressure release button allows for convenient fine adjustment.
