Product news: EVOC Explorer Pro: Versatile multi-day tour backpack for bike adventurers

August 1, 2017 by Andrew Waldera

Market: For the 2018 season, the Munich-based brand EVOC is expanding its range with the Explorer Pro multi-day tour backpack. The versatile bike backpack will be available in two volume versions with 26 liters and 30 liters. The highlights of the new model include the revised Airflow Contact System and the patented Brace-Link system.

EVOC Explorer Pro (30 liters)

With a special focus on perfect protection, EVOC has been developing high-quality backpacks for mountain athletes since 2008. In addition to skis and snowboards, mountain bikes are also of particular importance. For multi-day bike adventures, EVOC is launching the new Explorer Pro multi-day backpack in the 2018 bike season. To withstand the elements, the outer material is made of abrasion-resistant and durable nylon 420D, and very robust nylon 600D is used in the floor area. Due to the PU coating, the nylon should also be highly water-repellent.

Airflow contact system

EVOC has revised the Airflow Contact System for the new bike backpack. Even above the recommended maximum load, pressure points should be avoided when carrying. The system also ensures that the contact points between the backpack and the body remain dry. Special 3D Airmesh material is used to support this, which is responsible for increased moisture absorption, air circulation and maximum ventilation. Soft EVA padding material with integrated ventilation channels on the back, shoulder straps and hips promises a high level of comfort.

EVOC Explorer Pro: Perfectly organized storage space for long tours

Other features of the EVOC Explorer Pro backpack are the ergonomic carrying system and the patented Brace-Link system with straps that adjust themselves to the shoulder width. The padded and very wide hip fins have zippered hip pockets. Thanks to the bionic connection, not only the optimal load distribution in the direction of the hips should be guaranteed, but also the so-called body hugging effect: This means that the backpack nestles perfectly against the body. Even on rough downhill descents, the backpack should fit perfectly, not slip and also ensure full freedom of movement.

Organized Storage

True to the motto "Organization is everything", the EVOC Explorer Pro multi-day backpack comes with a main compartment that can be opened completely, integrated roll-up bottom and removable wash poush. A front pocket with quick access was also considered. In addition to many compartments for small parts, you will also find the EVOC Tool Pouch here. Hip pockets that are intuitive to use and the first-aid kit, along with other detailed solutions such as a 3-liter bladder compartment, complete the harmonious bike backpack. The EVOC Explorer Pro will be available in the sizes 26 and 30 liters in three color variations at 180,00 euros each.
