The Kuota team, in which our professional tester Robert Retschke also drives, was able to celebrate a small highlight right at the start of the season. The team was also able to take part in the Challenge Mallorca as part of its first training camp. In addition to ten WorldTour teams, including Team Sky with its captain Bradley Wiggins, the four-day race started with excitement. Although the drivers initially had to start with last year's jerseys, they didn't let that affect them. Solid results were achieved on the first two days with Joachim Tolles coming in 22nd and André Benoit coming in 29th. The remaining racing days, which were characterized by demanding stages in the Serra Tramuntana, were mastered with less good results. In the end, however, a positive summary was drawn for an unplanned event.
The remaining days on the sunny island could also be used for intensive training sessions in the best weather and so the team is now well attuned to the new season.
