For $30.000: Lance Armstrong offers expensive bike tour through Mallorca

24 January 2020 by Michael Behringer

Armstrong Lance Mallorca

Cycling: Cycle around with Lance Armstrong. Anyone who has always dreamed of one can now make their wish come true – for $30.000. The Texan offers this event at the end of September in Mallorca.

The Move Mallorca with Armstrong & Hincapie

Lance Armstrong has been banned from competitions since his suspension. Leisurely bike tours on Mallorca are not one of them. The American is now taking advantage of this. At the end of September, the now 48-year-old wants to tap into a new lucrative source of income there.

With his compatriot and former teammate George Hincapie, he will cycle Mallorca with a maximum of twelve paying fans over five days. After all: The hefty price of 30.000 US dollars also includes accommodation, bikes and meals. Nevertheless, only well-heeled Armstrong fans should be able to enjoy it. At a price of the equivalent of 27.000 euros, "The Move Mallorca 2020" costs around 5.400 euros per day.

Years ago, Jan Ullrich also organized various trips with fans on Mallorca - but at humane prices.

Heads up! @ghincapie and myself (as well as rockstar guides Emily and @mikekloser) are taking THEMOVE to Mallorca. Join us on this beautiful Mediterranean island for amazing rides, food, wine, and conversation. Can't https://t.co/XkbyaJ8Vga pic.twitter.com/GB2ZbuYIm1
