Product news: With the new BE34+ wheels and rims, the Belgian brand Exal is meeting the increasing demand for replacement and retrofit items for e-mountain bikes with Plus tires. The impellers with a stable construction were specially developed for the high loads in the E-MTB area. Also new to the range is the GR17 wheel set for racing bikes and gravel bikes with a thru-axle.
BE34+ wheels and rims for eMTBs
The high loads in the e-mountain bike sector require a particularly stable construction of the wheels. In order to keep the rotating mass low, the developers must not lose sight of the weight. This is exactly where the new BE34+ wheels and rims from Exal come in. The low weight (810 g front wheel 27,5", 835 g front wheel 29") should allow the e-rider agile handling and brisk acceleration despite the stable construction. The internal dimension of a generous 34 millimeters allows tires with a width of 57 to 75 millimeters to be fitted.
For smooth running, Exal gave the new E-MTB wheels the new Shimano SLX hubs with CENTER LOCK brake disc mount. You can choose between a standard Shimano 11-speed freewheel or a 12-speed MicroSpline freewheel. All 27,5″ and 29″ front and rear wheels come with modern Boost standard. The prices are 130,00 euros for the front wheel and 160,00 euros for the rear wheel, the complete wheel set costs 290,00 euros. The BE34+ rim is also available separately at a price of 59,95 euros.
Exal GR17 disc wheels for road and gravel bikes with thru axle
The Belgian brand Exal offers the new GR17 wheelset for road and gravel bikes with thru axles. The wheels are based on the 32-hole GR17 rim with an inner width of 17 millimeters and the new Shimano RS470 hubs with 12 mm thru-axles and CENTER LOCK mount. The internal grease sleeve (internal grease sleeve), high-quality cone bearings and sliding seals are intended to guarantee the user both convincing performance and a long service life. The wheel set is offered at a price of 159,00 euros.
