Giant road bike news 2020: aluminum all-rounder from endurance to gravel
Giant Content AR
With the new Giant Contend AR, Giant is expanding its aluminum drop bar portfolio with an affordable all-rounder. Thanks to a large tire clearance of up to 38mm, a comfortable aluminum frame and appropriate equipment such as the damping D-Fuse post, the Contend AR is suitable as an endurance or light gravel bike for different terrain. Road bike beginners should also be happy - the top model in particular with a complete Shimano 105 group, in-house wheels and 32mm wide tires offers everything you need to get started for just under 1.500 euros. The two cheaper equipment variants are also attractive: The entry-level model with 2×9 Sora gears will be available for 999 euros.

Giant Contender 2020: Sporty aluminum beginners

Nevertheless, high-quality aluminum wheels have a right to exist, especially because of their durability and stability, and they play an important role, especially for beginners and price-conscious cyclists. With the Giant Contend model series, this target group is offered high-quality racers with a good price-performance ratio. The […]
Giant Mountain Bike News 2020: Reign, Xtc and Stance with new frames
Giant Reign 29 2020
When it comes to mountain bikes, there are three highlights for the 2020 season: The new Reign 29 is undoubtedly in the spotlight. Based on the tried-and-tested Reign, Giant is now also launching a genuine 29er Enduro into the race. With 146mm of travel at the rear, it offers slightly less reserves on paper than the 27,5″ Reign that is still available, but the large wheels should more than make up for the travel deficit in most scenarios. The new Reign 29 is available with carbon and aluminum frames. The top model costs 8.499 euros, the aluminum entry costs 2.699 euros.
Giant Stance 29 2020
The well-known Giant Stance, like its enduro counterpart Reign, will be getting big wheels for the coming season: The Stance 29 replaces the previous model and comes with a completely new frame. This comes with the well-known and proven FlexPoint rear triangle, which can't quite keep up with the Maestro from Reign and Trance, but is absolutely sufficient for one or the other trail excursion. In addition, it can be produced much more cheaply, which is reflected in the price: The Stance 29 top model costs 1.799 euros, the entry-level model is even just under 1.500 euros.

Giant E-MTB News 2020: The first E-Enduro from Giant
Giant Reign E+
The highlight of the Giant E-MTB portfolio for the coming season is undoubtedly the new Reign E+. With this, Giant ventures into the now so popular field of e-enduros. With 160mm of spring travel at the front and rear, 27,5″ wheels and its potent geometry, the new E-MTB is clearly based on its non-motorized counterpart. As with the other E-MTBs, Giant relies on the in-house SyncDrive drive for the drive. With the Reign E+, this is used in the new SyncDrive Pro 2 variant, which is also based on the new Yamaha PW-X2 motor. From the spring, in addition to the 500Wh standard battery, a 625Wh variant will also be available for an additional charge of 200 euros. If that's not enough for you, you can add another 250Wh capacity with the Range Extender additional battery on the down tube and get to an impressive 875Wh.
Giant Stance E+ 29
Also new is the Stance E+ as a 29 inch bike. It complements the existing Stance E+ portfolio. The large wheels go very well with the touring and trail all-rounder Stance E+, which, like the Reign, relies on the SyncDrive Pro drive. Overall, the frame is a little less complex than the Reign or the Trance, but the price is pretty low: at 4.499 euros for the top model, you're in the range of many a mid-range full suspension bike without a motor.
