Product news: After Pexco presented its own brand Raymon Bicycles for the first time last year and already presented a complete range of bicycles, they are now adding more for the 2019 model year. Up to now there have only been non-motorised bikes, but for the coming season the electric sector will also be stepping on the gas. We took a closer look at the Raymon E-MTBs 2019 at the launch in Munich.
Even if the portfolio in the area of non-motorized bikes is further expanded and, for example, a carbon racer with disc brakes is now available, the focus for Raymon in 2019 is undoubtedly on the area of e-mobility. The model range includes a whopping 25 e-bikes, from city to 150mm e-MTB, from step-through bikes to youth bikes.
Raymon E-MTBs 2019: Yamaha and Linkage Battery
Perhaps the most important decision when developing an entire range of e-bikes concerns the motor. This is where Raymon positions itself very clearly and relies on Yamaha drives in all motorized bikes 2019. In the past – Susanne and Felix Puello, the brains behind Pexco and Raymon, were in charge of Haibike Winora until 2017 – the cooperation with the Japanese manufacturer was extremely successful. These good experiences and extremely positive feedback from the dealers were the cornerstone for further cooperation.
However, a motor is worth nothing without the appropriate energy supply – i.e. the battery. Raymon is breaking new ground here: The particularly powerful PW-X motor is combined with the 500Wh linkage battery, for example, which is already known from Husqvarna Bikes - also a brand in the Pexco portfolio. Of course, there will also be numerous models with a traditional semi-integrated battery.
Raymon eSeven / eNineray
Raymon's E-MTB hardtails are called eSevenray (27,5″) and eNineray (29″). In addition to two models with an integrated linkage battery, there will also be four equipment variants with a semi-integrated battery. The top model eSevenray 9.0 will cost €3.899 and comes with a GX Eagle drive, Yamaha PW-X motor, and RockShox Sector fork with 120mm travel.

Raymon eSeven Fullray
The eSevenFullray is the entry into the Raymon E-Fully segment and has 120mm spring travel for the highest possible driving comfort and conditional suitability for trails. In both versions, the battery is semi-integrated on the down tube.

Raymon eSevenTrailray
As the name suggests, the eSeven Trailray feels particularly at home on the trail. It comes exclusively with 27,5″ tires and has an impressive 140mm spring travel at the front and rear. The equipment also shows that the bike is built for rough terrain: Vario support, beefy suspension forks and thick tires provide the necessary driving control.
