Product news: With the models Keegan and Vectal, Afton Shoes presents two everyday MTB shoes for trail, enduro and freeride. The concept of the new shoe models is based on a mono-directional midsole, i.e. a midsole that can only be bent in one direction. According to the manufacturer, this enables comfortable walking, but standing on the pedal stiffens the sole.
Afton Shoes Keegan

The flat pedal shoe Keegan has an intact rubber sole with a hardness of A60, which, in combination with the special sole profile, should guarantee the rider an optimal grip on the pedal. Both the heel and toe are PU reinforced for a better fit and extra protection. Nubuck leather, synthetic nubuck leather and nylon are used for the outer material. Ventilation openings with an air mesh backing should ensure a pleasant climate. In order to inhibit the formation of odours, the Keegan flat pedal shoe has been given a breathable and antibacterial inner padding. The Keegan is available in two different color combinations at a price of 99,90 euros.

Afton Shoes Vectal

Like the Keegan, the Vectal is built on an Intact Rubber sole with a hardness of A60. Thanks to the oversized 35mm clip box, the shoe promises compatibility with all standard click pedals and cleats. The reinforced toe area with PU trim should offer the rider protection against stone contact and falls. The heel end cap is also reinforced in this regard. An additional Velcro strap is used for optimal fixation on the foot. The outer material consists of nubuck leather, synthetic nubuck leather and nylon with ventilation openings lined with air mesh. The shoe is completed by a breathable, antibacterial and odour-inhibiting inner padding. The price for the MTB shoe, which is available in two color combinations, is 119,00 euros.
