Then, as now, the Ransom aims to be an enduro bike that delivers a completely new riding experience, feeling at home on any terrain. To continue offering new riding experiences and meeting the demands of today's riders and trails, Scott spared no effort in completely redesigning the Ransom. The geometry of the entire Ransom lineup was developed for maximum downhill performance and a consistently confident feel, and it features unprecedented suspension kinematics. Particularly striking, yet understated, is Scott's already familiar patented Integrated Suspension Technology (IST), working in perfect harmony with the brand-new rear suspension design.
The innovative suspension characteristics were the key factor in the development of the all-new Scott Ransom. The heart of this is the rear triangle in combination with the integrated suspension system, which made it possible to further refine the suspension properties. This is intended to give you a unique setup that acts as an efficient pedaling platform as well as offering incredible grip when braking and first-class support on the trails.
The integrated shock absorber determines the entire frame shape of the new Ransom, but for possible fears, access to the shock absorber is possible in seconds at the push of a button. The downtube cover, present on all Ransom models, provides equal access and protection. The opening is spacious, which makes cable management and everything related to maintenance much easier.

The Ransom comes standard with 29-inch wheels but can also be ridden with a 27,5-inch rear wheel setup. This is easily achieved with a simple flip chip, allowing for customization to individual preferences. The head tube angle is also adjustable on the new Scott Ransom. The choice between a steeper and a slacker setup allows for further customization to suit personal preferences, terrain, and riding style.
In addition to the shock absorber, there is another highlight in terms of integration: a Syncros Matchbox Kit , fully integrated into the downtube and containing a spare tube, tire levers, a chain tool, and a multi-tool, offers a clean and functional solution, ensuring that all necessary items are readily available in case of a technical defect.
