Product news: Daniel Schäfer is moving to Specialized

5 April 2014 by the editorial office

unnamed

Daniel Schäfer, the Upper Bavarian from the idyllic village of Garching an der Alz with a second home on La Palma, is now on the bikes from the Californian premium manufacturer Specialized. Schäfer is known for his own, extremely playful style and has made a name for himself primarily as a bike guide. For fifteen years now he has been a constant in the international mountain bike circus. He is leaving his long-term partners Liteville and Syntace and will continue his future adventures on Specialized bikes.

"This step is not only an enormous technical development for me, but also opens up a completely new horizon for me after the first rides with the new bikes! Because grudgingly I have to throw my previous prejudices against 29ers overboard. I can hardly believe how agile and light-footed the Enduro is on the trail! Whether steps, tight switchbacks or root passages - it opens up a completely new driving experience for me! In addition, really great traction around fast corners and on steep uphill sections. I'm stoked!

For Daniel, the new partnership goes hand in hand with his personal development. “In the future I want to concentrate even more on extraordinary travel stories, camps and video productions. Specialized stands for the same ideas and ideals when it comes to biking that are also important to me. By drivers for drivers!”
