Market: Rock Shox surprised today with a press release on a new edition of the gravity suspension fork Lyrik. At the same time, the completely new Yari is presented, a suspension fork for all those who want to push the limits and feel comfortable in any terrain.
What a surprise: Rock Shox presents the new edition of the well-tried lyric and at the same time shows the new Yari. The lyric is already known from previous years, but was replaced by the revival of the Pike and already declared dead. It was already impressive back then as a single-crown gravity suspension fork and this is exactly where the new edition should tie in.
Even if the Pike and the new lyrics don't take much from each other on the outside, there are significant differences. Like the Pike, the Lyrik impresses with a rich, black 35 mm standpipe chassis. This was designed to be significantly stiffer and more resistant to meet freeride requirements. The 650B version weighs a light 2005 grams - a new record in the freeride segment.
Inside, the World Cup-proven Charger damping works and with the new SFK coating is supposed to keep the friction as low as possible.
The Lyrik offers 650-160 millimeters of travel in the 180B version, the 29er version comes with 150-160 millimeters. It is therefore primarily aimed at the gravity and freeride area, but should still be suitable for enduro. It comes with the new Torque end caps on the 15 millimeter quick-release axle and can be used with the new Boost standard, which allows you to generate even more rigidity.
It is available in three versions:
- Lyrik RCT3 Dual Piston Air for 1158 euros
- Poetry RCT3 Solo Air for 1075 euros
- Lyric RC: only for OEM

29 " | 150mm, 160mm | 2032g – 29” | 15 × 100 | 51 mm |
With the Yari, however, the new all-rounder is presented for riders who don't set any limits and want to discover the world with their bike. It doesn't matter whether it's kilometer-long climbs, demanding downhills, alpine terrain or forest soil: the new Yari should be able to do everything. With a travelable suspension travel starting at 120 millimeters up to 180 millimeters (650B version), it covers all areas from all-mountain to enduro to gravity.
Also kept in the familiar black, a motion control unit works as a solution for optimal damping. The Yari also has the same features as the Lyrik: SFK coating, Torque axle caps and Boost Standard. All of them should ensure a smoother spring process and extend service intervals.
The Yari RC Solo Air will be available from October 2015 and will cost 730 euros.
