Product news: Emancipation on your back - new Platybus backpacks

July 30, 2014 by the editorial office

platypus_Bline

Market: All Mountain, Cross Country, Freeride, Enduro - the list of mountain bike categories is long and has so far tended to be a male domain. Believe man! – But the mountain bikers at Platypus see things fundamentally differently: mountain biking has been emancipated for years. So it's time for something to happen: not just on the bike, but also on the equipment! That's why Platypus now comes with the Siouxon and B-Line Hydration packs especially for the ladies among the bikers on the trails.

Platypus even hired its own designer to ensure it fits perfectly on women's backs. As a result, the two hydration packs Siouxon and B-Line out of here. Both are named after Platypus riders' favorite trails in the Cascade Mountains, not far from Seattle, home of Platypus.

Platy is suitable for tough XC use B-Line perfect. The 6-liter main compartment swallows everything from a small tool kit to an air pump or a pump-up kit to a thin sweater. As in every Platy hydration pack, here's that Platy Big Zip™ LP with a volume of two liters housed in a separate compartment. The drinking tube can be guided individually in order to enjoy the cool water optimally and as quickly as possible at any time and not waste any time on the trail.

There is even more space for equipment in the Platy Siouxon hydration pack. The main compartment holds a total of eight liters. The helmet can be stowed away quickly and easily in a separate compartment. Crash pads also find their own storage space. It can therefore be used universally on any trail. Like the little sister B-Line he also wears it Platy Siouxon in the integrated Platy Big Zip™ LP up to two liters of water over the trails. Ergonomically positioned pads cushion the back and hips and make you forget the small burden on your back - after all, it's all about pure driving pleasure.

A special highlight of the Platy mountain bike water carriers are the magnetic bite valve mounts. With just a simple click, they hold the drinking tube firmly on the shoulder strap. Reflective details draw attention to the driver even in poor visibility and in the dark. Many small and larger compartments inside ensure a clear order and everything stays in place even on rough rides!

The two new models are now available in sports, bike and outdoor stores.
