Test mini tools: The Topeak Tubi 11 is a mini tool and tire repair tool in one. A total of eleven functions are available for quick repairs to the bike on the side of the road. Thanks to the extremely compact design, the small and extremely light helper, weighing just 85 grams, can fit even in the smallest corner. Our test shows how reliable the tool is.

Topeak Tubi 11 Minitool: Structure and processing

The Topeak Tubi 11 is a high-quality mini tool with very compact dimensions. Despite the flat profile, the forged aluminum body offers space for eleven functions, which also include special tools for repairing tubeless tires. The tire repair tool consists of a 2-in-1 reamer, a plug piercer and a knife. Just in case, the multitool also has a fold-out metal tire lever. However, this should really only be used in an emergency if an adequate plastic tire lever is not available.

handling

Due to its compact dimensions and limited number of functions, the multitool only allows for rudimentary repair options. Among other things, a chain riveter, an 8 mm Allen key and a spoke key are missing. You don't even need a screwdriver. This severely limits the area of application. The tool comes with a T25 key and a repair tool for tubeless tires. Unfortunately, accessing it in the event of a breakdown is very difficult. The tire repair tool must first be screwed into the aluminum body, making quickly plugging the hole almost impossible.

The high-quality workmanship and extremely compact design are impressive. However, due to the limited number of functions, the mini tool only offers rudimentary repair options. The implemented tire repair tool is certainly well thought out, but quick access is extremely important in the event of a puncture. And here unfortunately lies another weakness of the tool. Furthermore, the metal tire lever is not gentle on the rims and should therefore only be used in absolute emergencies.
