Product news: Four years ago, the children's and youth bike manufacturer woom launched the first generation of the MTB models woom OFF and woom OFF AIR. The bikes for children and young people between the ages of 6 and 14 have been optimized for use as cross-country mountain bikes in recent months. The second generation features optimized components and a new color variant.
With the two new models woom OFF with carbon fork and woom OFF AIR with air suspension fork, the children's and youth bike manufacturer from Klosterneuburg near Vienna is now launching the second generation of mountain bikes suitable for children. The bikes are designed for children and young people between the ages of 6 and 14 and therefore feature specific detailed solutions. One of the major developments is the tapering of the handlebar ends. As a result, handlebar grips with a smaller diameter can be used, which increases both driving comfort and driving fun for children and young people. Handlebars, grips and saddles also differ depending on the frame size. The saddles are adapted to the pelvic bones of the children of the respective age. If required, a dropper post can also be mounted on the 24 and 26 inch versions.
The brake disc size of the hydraulic disc brake was also reconsidered. The larger discs should ensure better braking performance in the new edition. To protect the chainstay from damage to the paintwork caused by chain slaps, both MTB models have chainstay protection developed by woom. The 9-speed SRAM gear system with trigger shifter ensures precise and smooth shifting. Schwalbe's tubeless-ready mountain bike tires should ensure low rolling resistance with maximum grip. A novelty also affects the look: the woom mountain bikes were previously only available in black. Now, with "terra coppa", a matt copper tone, an additional color is coming onto the market.
The woom OFF and woom OFF AIR mountain bikes for kids are available in sizes 20″, 24″ and 26″ at prices between 829,00 (20″ woom OFF) and 1.029,00 euros (26″ woom OFF AIR).
