Test Bulls Comox 2.0 Glove: Deeply rooted in MTB sports, the Bulls brand makes its mark with both its bikes and its sporting successes. Since it was founded more than 25 years ago, the ZEG premium brand has stood for sporty cycling with the highest quality standards - and that across all price ranges. The range also includes the Bulls Comox 2.0 MTB long finger gloves, which remind us a little of "old friends".
Structure, materials and processing
It's not that long ago that we tested the Apura Colorado long-finger gloves. As a reminder, Apura is also a ZEG exclusive brand. Certain parallels between the models cannot be entirely denied. The Bulls Comox 2.0 also has an air-permeable mesh back, absorbent terry cloth trimmings in the thumb area and reinforcement between the thumb and forefinger. However, the mesh back of the Bulls glove is larger. The on/off tab is almost identical to the waistband, which can be closed with Velcro. On the other hand, there are differences when looking at the palm of the hand. Although the backing material is almost the same on the Apura apart from the perforation, there are big differences in the gel padding. The Comox 2.0 is equipped with a fairly tight and flat gel foam. The silicone prints on the index finger and in the palm of the hand are intended to improve grip, there are no applications on the other fingertips. The fingertips, on the other hand, are additionally reinforced.
Bulls Comox 2.0 Glove in practice
The Bulls Comox 2.0 MTB long finger gloves impress with a full grip. The slightly harder upholstery has a supportive effect without sacrificing functionality. Overall, the palm of the hand seems a bit firmer, but that really can't be rated negatively in this case. The padding eliminates vibrations, increasing driving comfort. The mesh back nestles perfectly against the back of the hand and offers very high air permeability. The reinforced areas on the fingertips and between the thumb and forefinger also promise high durability thanks to the double seam. In fact, after many uses, we could not find any weak points. Thanks to the Velcro fastener and the specially attached strap, putting on and taking off the gloves is very easy. The touchscreen compatibility, which allows fine operation of the smartphone, is also very impressive.
