Cycling: Stefan Bissegger won the rainy fourth stage of the Tour de Suisse. The Swiss won the section in the sprint out of a four-man breakaway group.
Bissegger confidently wins the sprint
At the start of the Tour de Suisse Stephen Bissegger (EF – Nippo) just barely ahead of his compatriot Stefan Kung (Groupama – FDJ) in the time trial. Three days later he is at the top. With Benjamin Thomas (Groupama – FDJ), Joey Rosskopf (rally) and Joel Sutter (Swiss national team) he formed the leading group of the day on the 171-kilometer stage from Sankt Urban to Gstaad. Together, the quartet worked out a comfortable lead. More than five minutes later, the peloton reached around the still overall leader Mathieu van der Poel (Alpecin – Fenix) the goal. The Dutch champion is still a second ahead of the French Julian Alaphilippe (Deceuninck - Quick Step).
