Product news: Gravity specialist YT Industries is expanding its portfolio with a lightweight trail bike. The YT IZZO is based on a carbon frame with 130 millimeters of travel and 29-inch wheels. The new bike is available in four different models at prices ranging from €2.999 and 6.499 euros.
With the IZZO model, YT Industries is launching its first true trail bike. The new bike from the Forchheimer should primarily appeal to riders who are looking for enduring rides and appreciate the uphill as much as the descent. According to the manufacturer, the focus during development was primarily on climbing ability, drive efficiency and low weight, without forgetting the downhill-oriented YT DNA. The developers were inspired by the simple design and the high precision of the katana sword, which was once wielded by the Japanese samurai. The YT IZZO should also have the properties of the sword: Fast, agile and sharp in its form and function.
The heart of the YT IZZO rolling on 29 inch wheels is the high-performance carbon frame with 4-bar linkage system. The interplay of a steep seat angle, low stack and low weight should guarantee the rider convincing climbing properties even on the most technical climbs. Thanks to the flip chip, the BB can be lowered by five millimeters, which changes the seat and steering angle by 0,5°. The active and progressive 130 millimeter chassis with the relatively short chainstays should ensure maximum fun on the descents. To make repairing the bike easier, the bearings of the derailleur are accessible from one side. The double-sealed full complement bearings are protected by additional sealing washers.
For long tours, the FID LOCK drinking bottles 'Thirstmaster 5000' or 'Thirstmaster 4000' can be mounted, but using an adapter it is also possible to fix a standard bottle holder. Threaded inserts below the top tube allow you to attach an additional mount for transporting spare parts or tools. The trail bike is available in four versions and five sizes. All models use the same frame. The Launch Edition with FOX 12 Float Factory fork, FOX Float DPS Factory damper and SRAM Eagle AXS group weighs only 34 kilograms and is limited to 150 pieces. The price for the top model is 6499,00 euros. The cheaper models Pro Race, Pro and Comp offer variations of the FOX 34 fork, the FOX Float DPS damper, the SRAM drive and the brakes.
