MTB Bundesliga 2020 without overall ranking: Singer Forest Cup in Titisee-Neustadt is postponed

April 30, 2020 by Andrew Waldera

Titisee-Neustadt

MTB News: Due to the corona virus, the last remaining MTB Bundesliga location Titisee-Neustadt now unfortunately has to cancel the event planned for July 25th and 26th. But the Black Foresters don't want to give up completely. An alternative date is currently being explored. The fact is, however, that there will no longer be an overall Bundesliga ranking this year.

Titisee-Neustadt

Due to the restrictions caused by the corona virus, the Singer Forest Cup cannot take place as planned. The city of Titisee-Neustadt has banned all events at the Hochfirst Ski Jumping Chance until the end of August, regardless of size. It is therefore completely irrelevant whether the Singer Forest Cup is a major event or not. The organizers around Simon Stiebjahn and Markus Bauer don't want to give up just yet and are currently exploring an alternative date. According to Simon Stiebjahn, four weeks' notice would be sufficient to get an event off the ground. A new date also depends on the world cycling association UCI, which will redesign the appointment calendar for autumn - and not least on how the Federation of German Cyclists plans further. It is already certain that there will no longer be an overall ranking of the MTB Bundesliga 2020, even if the event takes place in Titisee-Neustadt.
