MTB News: After Obergessertshausen and Heubach, Gedern is now pulling the ripcord. The third station of the International MTB Bundesliga also has to bow to the corona virus and cancel the planned date on April 30th/31st. cancel May. The cancellation of the Vulkan Race Gedern also affects the U15 and U17 junior sighting of the BDR.

Of the originally planned five dates of the International MTB Bundesliga, only two dates remain. After Obergessertshausen and Heubach, the run in Gedern also had to be canceled due to the further spread of the corona virus. Although the C1 race should not have taken place for more than two months, the local authorities have already signaled that the Pentecost weekend at the end of May will still be affected by the restrictions due to the spread of the corona virus. The German U15 and U17 competitions in the junior sighting series are also affected by the cancellation.
“In the past week we have had several discussions with the local authorities. We were told that there was no chance for our event to take place” – Head of Organization Eckhard Haas
It is currently unclear whether those responsible for the International MTB Bundesliga are still looking for alternative dates. Since nobody knows when competition operations in Germany can be resumed, the search for alternative dates makes little sense at the moment. On the program are currently only the German Championships in Freudenstadt on 06./07. June and the Singer Forest Cup in Titisee-Neustadt on 25./26. June.
