E-Performance: It doesn't matter whether it's for the sporty, ambitious road bike rider or for those who want electrical support. In the new Lapierre eSensium, the French combine the sportiness that an endurance racing bike needs with the electric pedal-assist system Ebikemotion X35. It looks like a normal racing bike because the motor and battery are perfectly integrated and hidden.
Lapierre eSensium: design and integration taken to the extreme.
The Ebikemotion system is used for the first time in a Lapierre Suprême 5 aluminum frame. Thanks to the ultra-slim battery, the elegant French design can be preserved. The entire system is controlled by the one-button system (iWoc One-Button).
Thanks to the innovative control concept, the system can be activated and deactivated with just a single button, and the different support modes can also be switched through without any problems. The glowing LED ring around the button shows battery and support statuses.
The wheel hub motor in the eSensium is also small and yet powerful, so that it is hardly noticeable and still provides enough power for steep climbs or acceleration from a standing start.
The e-bike can be supplemented with an additional battery on the saddle tube. The 250W hub motor is ultra-compact, no bigger than a 34 sprocket and is housed in the rear hub. The entire Ebikemotion X35 concept gives the eSensium the look of a classic racing bike with a minimal additional weight of only 3,5 kg. The weight of the bike is then only 14,30 kg for the eSensium 500 version in Shimano 105 with brake disc!
In addition, the eBikemotion system can be controlled and configured using an app (Android and iOS). This further contributes to the perfect integration of the drive system into the racing bike.
Lapierre eSensium: Shimano components and driving pleasure
All eSensium models are equipped with Shimano hydraulic disc brakes. The sporty, leisure-oriented geometry is designed entirely for maximum driving pleasure. The eSensium is a versatile electric road bike for everyone who wants to expand their horizons alone or with friends. The 200 and 200 W (Woman) models, which are equipped with a flat bar, ensure a more ergonomic seating position.
Nevertheless, the dynamics do not fall by the wayside, because the sporty geometry means that intermediate sprints and long-distance rides are no problem. The Ebikemotion motor installed in the rear wheel hub is characterized by its compact design, low weight and low noise and friction. Also to ensure driving pleasure at over 25 km/h and with the engine switched off.
