Ducati TK-01RR: New e-enduro with motorcycle genes?

22 November 2020 by the editorial office

E-Performance: The new Ducati TK-01RR is an E-Enduro that combines modern technical solutions with the aim of making every driving situation as exciting as possible, even on the most impassable paths. With the new Shimano EP8 drive, it embodies pure performance. And that with a weight of only 2,6 kg. The maximum torque is a whopping 85 Nm and also provides maximum power assistance of 400%. This makes it one of the lightest and most compact engines in the segment.

Torque is always delivered smoothly and predictably, also thanks to 36% less friction compared to the Mig-RR model. In combination with the new Shimano E-Tube Project app, the EP8 system allows a high degree of customization. In this way, the engine characteristics can be adapted to the personal preferences of the driver. The application makes it possible to configure the maximum torque, acceleration and assistance timing in real time, even when the smartphone is wirelessly connected.

Ducati TK-01RR: agile and stable

The new aluminum frame has a steep down tube that houses an integrated Shimano battery with a whopping 630 Wh. This ensures good autonomy. The low center of gravity creates strong handling that is not affected by the battery and frame construction. With a head angle of 01°, an extended top tube and a straight seat tube with an angle of 64,5°, the geometry of the TK-75,5RR is geared towards more extreme E-Enduro use. The introduction of the new 1,8-inch steering tube also sets new standards in the control area of the E-MTB, but above all greater rigidity in the steering head area, which is particularly important for mastering the most difficult passages at high speed.

Ducati TK-01RR: top equipment

The TK-01RR is equipped with high-end components such as the 12-speed gearbox and Shimano XT brakes. This four-piston system, in combination with 203 mm discs including "Ice Technologies" cooling function, always guarantees a powerful and modulable brake. The brand new Öhlins RXF 38 180 mm fork can withstand high loads and ensures fine steering precision and a wide range of adjustment options. In addition, the fully adjustable 170 mm Öhlins TTX shock absorber offers excellent progressivity on descents without making pedaling uncomfortable. The TK-01RR is equipped with the new Pirelli Scorpion E-MTB tires in "S" configuration (29×2,6 front / 27,5×2,6 rear).
