Product News: Cane Creek Cycling Components has announced the Cane Creek eeBrake El Diablo Edition, a new limited edition of their award-winning eeBrake in a red, black and silver colorway.
The eeBrakes are ultra-lightweight, high-performance rim brakes designed by acclaimed component designer Craig Edwards and hand assembled at Cane Creek's facility outside of Asheville, North Carolina. The Cane Creek eeBrake El Diablo Edition is the third limited edition brake Cane Creek has released since acquiring marketing, manufacturing and distribution from eeBrakes in Fall 2016. The two previous versions, El Dorado and El Chulo, were each available for two weeks and sold over a thousand copies.
“The El Dorado and El Chulo editions were very popular and riders kept giving us feedback that they wanted to see more. The fact that these are really limited - apart from being the same badass brakes - makes them really special for us and our customers.” said Sam Anderson, product manager for Cane Creek
The Cane Creek eeBrake El Diablo Edition is available in regular mount only and all orders must be placed by February 28th, 2018 with expected delivery in April 2018.
The Cane Creek eeBrake El Diablo is the ultimate brake from start to finish - a uniquely robust patented design, developed and refined through relentless engineering, both on the computer and through real-world testing. At half the weight of the competition, eeBrakes sets new standards by which all other high-performance road brakes are judged. The same ultimate upgrade for performance-oriented riders, a dramatically higher overall stiffness offers better modulation and more power. No detail has been overlooked, increased tire clearance and tool-less centering make installation easy. The eeBrake cable adjuster pivots as the brake is applied, optimizing cable alignment during brake application. Also, the cable housing extends to the bottom tip of the cable adjustment screw, eliminating additional friction. That means when the brake lever is squeezed, you get consistent and friction-free stopping power. A Cross Cable Path aligns the brake cable over the center of the brake. This alignment provides a graceful, clean line and moves cables in the frame's 'slipstream', providing an aerodynamic advantage over traditional brakes with their cables and lever arms on one side of the caliper. Tool-less adjustability allows for high precision and consistent pad movement through the patented “Link” pad travel proportioning system. No annoying pad rubbing and constantly having to re-center. Do not readjust the main fastening screw after the initial installation or align the brake pads with spring tensioning screws. A simple flip of the lever on the Quick Strut version opens wide enough to easily remove a 28mm tire, allowing for easy wheel removal. Easily swap pads over Shimano style pads using our patented system, allowing you to easily install and remove pads without tools. The Cane Creek eeBrake El Diablo are available in a variety of configurations and styles to meet the needs of riders worldwide.
