Track cycling: The SIX DAY BERLIN are slowly entering their decisive phase. On Sunday there was another change of leadership. Belgium's Moreno De Pauw and Kenny De Ketele didn't have a good day, allowing Dutchmen Wim Stroetinga and Yoeri Havik to regain the lead. In the men's sprint discipline, Stefan Bötticher is still in the lead, while Kristina Vogel has already made a mark in the women's sprint competition, which has just started - or rather three marks.
3 x 1st place: Kristina shoots the bird
For the first time in the history of the Berlin Six Day Races, spectators were able to see four female sprinters in action. The exciting races were varied and thrilling, even if the results were the same three times. Christina Vogel won all three disciplines Miriam Welte. The Spanish woman Helena Casas and the Czech Sara Kankovska had no chance against the German sprint dominance. Vogel now leads Welte with 60 to 45 points.
Kristina Vogel:
“I think it's really great that we sprinters can finally start here. To win on the first day with such an amazing crowd is just amazing.”
And that's a hat-trick of wins for @KristinaVogel on Day 4⃣ as the 🇩🇪 German rider wins the Sprint Finals! What a way to sign off!

De Pauw/De Ketele not very confident
The claim that Moreno de Pauw and Kenny de Ketele Hardly anyone would disagree that they are currently the strongest duo in track cycling. Yesterday, however, the Belgians did not have a good day at the SIX DAY BERLIN. They had to take the lead to last year's Dutch winners Wim Stroetinga and Yoeri Havik hand over. These two didn't really have a good day either. The German duos fared much better Roger Kluge and Theo Reinhard just like Leif Lampater and Christian Grasmann. Only thanks to another bonus round can the two favorite teams stay ahead of the Germans. The Swiss too Nico Selenati and Tristan Marguet and the danes Marc Hester and Jesper Morkov are still within striking distance.
Here's how the leaderboard looks at the end of #SixDayBerlin Day 4⃣!

Bötticher stays ahead of Levy and Förstemann in the sprint
Record after record Stefan Boetticher broken at the SIX DAY BERLIN. He also managed to pull off an impressive performance yesterday. He has six points after day four Maximilian Levy and 29 before Robert Foerstemann. In the stander, on the other hand, there was a surprise to marvel at. The Dutch were able to close in on the Germans properly. Clean honey and pacemaker Rene Kos won the race. Now they have a tie with Stephen Shepherd and Franz Schiewer forced. The decision will be made on Monday evening.
SO. MUCH. SPEED! Amazing racing from our Sprint Kings in the Sprint Final leaves Stefan Botticher on top of the standings! 💪 Bring on the Keirin! 🚴♂️#SixDayBerlin pic.twitter.com/QGJTQMrgsK
