Cycling: The final stage victory of the Tour de Romandie goes to Dorian Godon. The Frenchman was able to successfully beat the competition in the mass sprint in Vernier and thus celebrate his second victory.

Godon does it again
The 77th edition of the Tour de Romandie ended today after six days. On the 150,8 kilometer long section with start and finish in Vernier, the professionals had to contend with rainy weather. As expected, despite numerous attacks, a decision was made in a mass sprint. Had there Dorian Godon (Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale) again got the best ending for himself by Simone Consonni (Lidl – Trek) and DionSmith (Intermarche – Wanty) could leave behind.
Florian Lipowitz comes third overall
The victory in the overall ranking was achieved Carlos Rodriguez (Ineos Grenadiers) no longer take. The Spaniard wins the Tour de Romandie ahead of the Russian Alexander Vlasov (Bora – hansgrohe) and the German Florian Lipowitz (Bora – hansgrohe). Lipowitz, who is only 23 years old, is celebrating the greatest success of his career to date. Yesterday he almost won the queen stage. He will also compete in the Giro d'Italia, which starts next weekend.
