Track cycling: The Sixdays London ended last night with a somewhat surprising result. Last year's winners, Kenny De Ketele and Moreno De Pauw, were in the lead for a long time, but were then relegated to third place. Local heroes Mark Cavendish and Peter Kennaugh finished second. Australian duo Callum Scotson and Cameron Meyer triumphed for the first time at the Sixdays in London.

An exciting Sixday series is coming our way
It almost seemed as if the defending champions from Belgium, Kenny De Ketele and Moreno De Pauw, had everything under control again this year in London at the Sixdays. But on the last day they lost the lead. The Australian duo Meyer/Scotson gained the decisive advantage by winning a lap. They ended up with 353 points, while Belgium's De Ketele/De Pauw had 421 points and Britain's Cavendish/Kennaugh 459 points. Unfortunately, the two German duos, Theo Reinhardt and Kersten Thiele, as well as Sebastian Schmiedel and Maximilian Beyer, had no chance. Nevertheless, we can be curious to see how the Sixday series develops this year. With today's result, we could see a tremendously exciting competition. But it won't continue until the new year, when the pros come back to Berlin to the Velodrom on Landsberger Allee.

Katie Archibald wins women's - Max Levy in sprint 3.
In addition to the men's duos, many other professionals have of course got on the bike. Among other things, Katie Archibald was able to impress at the six-day race in London after the European Championships in Berlin. She won ahead of Neah Evans and Emily Nelson. In the men's sprint, the Germans had a hot iron in the fire with Maximilian Levy. But as third overall he also had nothing to oppose the winner Edward Dawkins and the runner-up Ethan Mitchell.
🏆 Peerless @_katiearchibald lifts a second #SixDayLondon Title on an historic day in London.
