Market: With the Cinelli Superstar and Superstar Disc, the traditional Italian manufacturer presents two completely new carbon racers. The Superstar is designed as a universal all-rounder with racing genes that combines the latest standards with the most modern production methods.
Cinelli stands for tradition like hardly any other racing bike manufacturer. However, the Italian company also proves again and again that tradition and progress are not mutually exclusive. Cinelli provides another example of this balancing act between tradition and modernity with the new Superstar and the Superstar Disc. With the disc version, for example, they are presenting the first carbon racer with disc brakes in the company's history.
Apart from the braking system, the Superstar and Superstar Disc are technically identical like identical twins. 12mm thru-axles on the fork and in the rear are not only used in the disc brake frame, but also in the version with rim brakes. At 970g, however, the disc variant weighs around 50 grams more than the model with traditional road bike brakes. Since there is no brake caliper, the Cinelli Superstar Disc also has space for tires up to 28mm wide – the regular Superstar is no longer 25mm.
The geometry is based on a healthy balance between race and endurance - whereby the low front and the short stays promise race-ready agility. A technical highlight is hidden behind the at first glance inconspicuous top tube. Due to the slight kink and a special carbon layup, the tube deforms while riding in the event of hard impacts and vibrations from the ground. This technology, known as GCD (Geometry Controlled Deformation), not only provides additional comfort, but also ensures that the bike does not deform in critical areas such as the head tube in the event of hard impacts. In this way you can achieve significantly smoother running on poor surfaces.
The German Cinelli importer Traffic sells both Superstars as a frame set and the Superstar (without disc) also as a complete bike. The Superstar Disc frame set will cost €1849,99, without disc brakes you can get away with €200 cheaper. The Cinelli Superstar complete bike with 105 group and Shimano RS010 aluminum wheels will be available for €2849,99.

Just to worn all of you – Worst quality! I bought one on ebay. Fame has "made in China sticker" and chinese quality. Painjob is clumsy, cracking nosies and I can barely fit 25mm tublulars on it (declared 28mm!).
Returned to dealer after few days. Never again!

@Christian: I have one by myself as nondisc (black)…I have a perfect paint job!!!
Any of the big companies produce there components, bikes or carbon fiber products in the far east region;) Only a couple of very unique companies like envee doesn´t, so therefore your point isn´t true;)
25mm are declared as maximum size for that bike by the producer!!! Just check the specs ;)
