MTB-News: As the Bergamont Factory Team powered by Hayes Performance Systems, the factory team of the manufacturer from the Hamburger Kiez will start in the 2017 season. There are a few minor changes in terms of personnel - in addition to the departure of Rupert Chapman, Patrick Butler and Reece Wilson can announce two newcomers to the already strong Downhill WC team.
Many people automatically think of Ed Masters and the Hamburger Schmiede downhill team when they think of the Bergamont Factory Team, but they are also strong in the Enduro and XC sectors and could certainly cause a stir in 2017. All drivers of the works team in a short profile:
The driver is one thing, but without the appropriate set of wheels, dreams of winning the title are quickly over. The boys and girls from the Bergamont Factory Team will be driving the following cars next year:
Downhill: Bergamot Straitline Team
The new Straitline is one of the major highlights in the Bergamont range. Together with the pros, the new downhill racer was developed from scratch.
Enduro: Bergamot Encore Team
Like the downhill bike, the Encore Team was developed in close cooperation with the enduro riders of our own team and is therefore unsurprisingly a racy race enduro. 165mm of rear travel, a very slack steering angle and the extremely stiff frame with chain stays and carbon linkage are prepared for the nasty stages of the EWS 2017.
Cross Country: Bergamont Fastlane Team and Bergamont Revox Team
While the Fastlane Team Fully with 100mm spring travel will be the weapon of choice for technically difficult routes and especially marathons, the Revox Team is designed for unconditional propulsion and maximum performance. The geometry has been tweaked a bit for the new season, but of course the core remains the same: the Revox is just damn fast.
Cross: Prime CX Team
Crosser Stefan Danowski's work tool for this season is the Prime CX Team, which was already able to prove itself in the mud and dirt of the cross circus last season.
