Cycling: At the beginning of the year came the shocking news that the organizers of the legendary Superenduro series were going to take a break. The high standard of the races could no longer be guaranteed and so the drastic decision was taken. Now a new highlight has been created with the Superenduro B Road series, which attracted 120 starters at the premiere.
Superenduro B Road is the new concept of promoter Franco Monchiero. Enduro is ridden on racing or cross bikes. At first glance, it takes some getting used to and some might shake their heads, but the premiere in La Morra was a complete success and saw many happy faces at the end of a strenuous day.
In total, a distance of 110 kilometers had to be conquered. Steep climbs and downhills challenged the riders and the graded stages ultimately resulted in a total time of over an hour. The overall standings should remain exciting until the last special stage. Stefano Corino and Andrea Bugnone were only a few tenths apart and had to give their all to secure overall victory.
Corino was in the lead after a total driving time of 1:13.23 hours and won by just 0,26 seconds.
Angela Stefani secured victory for the women, followed by the two sisters Elena and Valentina Busin.
