Cycling: The Swiss team CYCteam Roth-Skoda, which was only promoted to the ProContinental class this year, will be on the road with bikes from the Bavarian manufacturer Corratec from the coming season. In the 2016 season, the drivers will take their place in the race and in training on the top-of-the-line Corratec CCT Evo carbon model.
Corratec's decision to take the plunge and equip a ProContinental team with the CYCteam Roth-Skoda next season was an affair of the heart for company founder Konrad Irlbacher. Of course, it was no coincidence that the young team from Switzerland was chosen here. "I have the feeling that we Bayern and the Swiss go well together. The mentalities somehow harmonize,” says Irlbacher – in addition, it is “much more exciting” for him to support a young, up-and-coming team than “to buy into a large team.” They want to take the next development steps together.
Of course, the drivers get the top model for the road from Corratec - the CCT Evo presented this year. During development, particular importance was attached to very good aerodynamics - the result is tube shapes optimized down to the last detail, a completely new fork and correspondingly good values in the wind tunnel. We'll see how the CCT Evo will fare in competition next season - we're certainly excited!
