Cycling: Yesterday, the German-Danish team CULT-Energy Stölting Group announced that it would also receive the ProContinental license from the UCI for 2016. Last year, through the merger of Team Stölting and CULT Energy, the second division made it into the second-highest racing class.
Some time ago we already had the preliminary team presentation of CULT-Energy Stölting and the new equipment partner ROSE reported, as the team announced yesterday in a press release, the racing team will also receive the ProContinental license for 2016 as expected. “The licensing process always takes a long time, so we are all the happier now that we have official confirmation from the UCI that our application has been accepted. It took a little longer because we had to wait for documents from external partners. The team didn’t emerge until it was quite late – but when everything was finally transmitted, we got the green light straight away from the association,” said managing director Christian Große Kreul.
With Gerald Ciolek, the team was recently able to present one of the top drivers for the next season - the German comes from the former team MTN-Qhubeka, the from 2016 as Team Dimension Data will be on the way. Overall, the team is very well positioned, as Große Keul also knows: "We're really proud of the 2016 roster. We have some extremely talented young riders as well as veterans who have proven their skills at the top of the world." The young drivers in particular are close to the heart of the team boss and to a certain extent embody the philosophy of the second division: “We try to create an optimal environment for our young drivers in which they can develop their strengths. This mix of young talent and a lot of experience will be a real asset to the cycling world, we are sure." the manager continues.
The official team presentation is scheduled for Mallora at the end of January – then there will be a lot of new information. The roster for 2016 is of course already set.
