Test: The POC Index Air Trail and Dirt Glove really cannot be accused of a playful design. A closer look is required to discern the well thought-out details of the simple-looking glove. In the test, we dealt intensively with the very light Gravity glove.
The POC Index Air Trail and Dirt Glove is not the type of glove that causes a stir with fat protector attachments and artistic prints. The POC glove does not even have the usual Velcro fastener on the wrist. As usual, the Swedes have a good solution ready for that, but more on that later.
The preformed glove scored its first points immediately after putting it on. The Index Air impresses with such a good fit and such fine sensitivity that even hearing aid acousticians could do their job with this glove.
Cuddly like a second skin
The soft, flexible synthetic leather on the palm adapts perfectly and, in addition to the enormous grip, offers a very good grip. The flexible fabric in the area of the very well ventilated back of the hand is also very cuddly. The stretchable mesh inserts between the fingers also ensure excellent cooling.
Thanks to the elastic glove end, the glove closes tightly even without the aforementioned Velcro fastener. The vulnerable area between index finger and thumb is reinforced, but the glove does not have a terry cloth trimming. POC has not done without silicone prints on the brake fingers and a small strap that helps when putting on the glove.
The POC Index Air Trail and Dirt Glove also gives no reason for criticism in terms of workmanship. Although the glove looks downright filigree, the Index Air survived the test without any injuries. Even the silicone prints on the brake fingers showed no signs of wear. The seams also held what customers have come to expect from POC. The glove is available in different colors and sizes at a price of 50 euros.
