The 6-day race in Rotterdam also attracted numerous spectators to the Ahoy exhibition hall on the fourth day. And these were not disappointed. Because although the two leading duos Niki Terpstra and Iljo Keisse as well as Kenny de Ketele and Jasper de Buyst held back at first, they really turned it up in the end. Although it was not a really decisive victory for either of them, their tactical driving style allowed them to maintain their top positions - with one difference: if Terpstra and Keisse started the race as leaders, they had to lose first place at the end of the night to De Ketele and De Buyst hand over.
"It's going to be a really tough fight", said De Ketele after the race. His partner De Buyst agreed: "All in all there are four teams in the same lap, so it's difficult to control the race."
