In our list of the best winter gloves for cyclists, we took a very close look at the GripGrab Hurricane 2 and show you our test impressions here.
The GripGrab company from Denmark knows how to make good gloves. The new edition of the popular Hurricane glove has thin fleece insulation on the upper and palm. A padding on the ball of the hand ensures increased comfort. Silicone prints are on the palm of the hand. The tops of the thumbs are covered with fleece and both can be used as wiping fingers. The glove is made of windproof and water-repellent material.
GripGrab Hurricane 2 in the test
The Hurricane 2 is cleanly processed and gives a high-quality impression. It is easy to put on and take off thanks to its flexible fabric and short shaft. It feels good inside. The seams don't bother you. The fit is also very good, the glove fits like a glove and doesn't slip where it comes into contact with the bike. The flexible outer material allows good mobility of the fingers. Due to the thin insulation, the grip on the handlebars, brakes and gear lever is very good. The fingers do not cool down at temperatures around 4°C. When there is a high wind, you can feel a slight infiltration of air. At milder temperatures around 10°C, the breathable outer material ensures a pleasant climate.

For whom and what purpose is the glove suitable
The Hurricane 2 is suitable for everyone during the transitional period in autumn and spring. It should be noted that the short shaft must be compensated for with a suitable jacket, otherwise a cold bridge will occur at the transition point. The glove can withstand short showers or drizzles. When temperatures reach freezing point, they remain the first choice for sporty drivers who just need protection from stiff fingers.
