Product news/Eurobike 2022: The latest racing bike from the Bavarian manufacturer Corratec is said to be a light all-rounder with aerodynamic advantages. The manufacturer promises that with the new Corratec CCT Evo SLR Disc you don't have to choose between weight, aerodynamics, ride quality or speed and has specially tailored and optimized the bike for the properties mentioned.
At the Eurobike 2022, we at Corratec were able to immediately discover the racing bike that shines in the classic manufacturer colors. A completely new development in which you don't have a gram too much with you and no frills should be installed. The frame weight in the medium size is a good 800 grams and should also be extremely stiff. When developing the frame, Corratec relies on space technology. According to the manufacturer, the Naca tube profiles developed by Nasa create the newly created maximum aerodynamic advantages on the new Corratec CCT Evo SLR Disc. The completely internally routed cables also increase the aerodynamic values and also ensure a clean look. The newly designed dropouts of the quick-release axles, which are completely integrated in the frame and offer a shapely and aerodynamic finish, follow the same goal.
But not only the development, materials and manufacturing techniques of the new racing bike have changed significantly, the geometry has also been made significantly sportier compared to its predecessor. The relationship between reach and stack has been redefined, making the first longer and the second much deeper. This gives you a seating position that is supposed to save 8 watts across all frame sizes. In addition, the Pro Size Six system ensures exact coordination and linear size distribution of the frame sizes from 46 - 60 cm.
The Corratec Bow seatstay, which was integrated into the shape of the frame, was named as the last highlight at the trade fair in Frankfurt. The result should also be eight watts savings here and at the same time micro-vibration-dampening properties.
