The DT Armor down tube protection was specially developed to reliably protect the down tube. This is not only ensured by the extensive coverage, but also by the material with a thickness of 1,8 millimeters. The Glue Shield technology is designed to ensure a tight fit and high resilience. According to the manufacturer, neither rain nor temperature fluctuations can detach the down tube protection from the frame. CS Armor stay protection with Glue Shield technology
The CS Armor stay protector is made from the same material as the DT Armor down tube protector. The tear-resistant and cushioning 1,8 mm thick material with Glue Shield technology is also used here. Applied to the chainstay, it should then enjoy the best protection. Thanks to the damping properties, the background noise caused by chain slaps on demanding descents is also minimized. With a size of 33mm x 250mm, all vulnerable areas of the strut can be effectively covered. The self-adhesive strut protection is available at a price of 9,95 euros.
Do it yourself: frame protection tape can be cut with scissors
For requirements that require an individual cut, Zéfal also offers the frame protection tape Armor Tape. The 1 meter long roll enables universal solutions such as making pads to prevent chafing. The cutting is simply done with scissors. According to the manufacturer, the 1,8 millimeter thick tape is tear-resistant, waterproof and particularly adhesive without damaging paint and varnish when removed.
