Cycling: Dylan Groenewegen and Fabio Jakobsen each won a stage at the Tour de Wallonie. The two Dutchmen are celebrating their first successes after the bad accident at the 2020 Tour of Poland.
Groenewegen & Jakobsen are back
They were considered two of the strongest sprinters in the peloton and have both won important races. However, on August 5, 2020, her career took a backseat for a brief moment. Fabio Jacobsen came after a negligent maneuver of Dylan Groenewegen during the Tour of Poland, he fell so hard that he was put into an artificial coma. At first it was unclear whether the Dutchman would survive at all. Fortunately, Fabio Jakobsen made a quick and full recovery. However, it was not until April of this year that he was able to take part in a cycle race again. Compatriot Dylan Groenewegen only got back on his bike in one race in May. However, both have only now won their first race again - and that on the same tour on two consecutive days. While Dylan Groenewegen won the opening stage of the Tour de Wallonie, Fabio Jakobsen celebrated his victory on the second stage.
