Corratec E-Allroad in the test: At home on all roads?!

Test: The name says it all here, because the Corratec E-Allroad feels at home on (almost) all roads. With a balanced geometry and the dynamic support of the Fazua drive, you are well positioned both in everyday life and in your free time.

Since Corratec was founded more than 30 years ago, sporty models have been an integral part of the portfolio. Nevertheless, we have constantly developed further in order to be able to cover all facets of the bicycle. It doesn't matter whether it's about sport, leisure or everyday life. For several years now, more and more e-bikes have been included in the manufacturer's lineup from the Bavarian foothills of the Alps. Among the almost 50 bikes with e-support, the E-Allroad, a gravel bike with a motor, also shines out.

Like many e-bike manufacturers, Corratec relies on an already proven platform and combines it with a sporty Fazua Evation drive. This gives you a largely identical structure to the "classic" Corratec gravel bike and you can still benefit from active support. Thanks to the well-coordinated support levels, the E-Allroad does not lose its natural driving feel and you get the necessary boost when you need it. However, the Corratec E-Graveller drives very sluggishly without a motor or above the 25 km/h limit, which should not least be due to its 16,35 kilos. The Fazua control element was also placed a bit unhappily, which is not on the top tube but in the frame triangle on the down tube and is therefore difficult to reach while riding.

But if you have chosen the right support level, the E-Allroad can fully demonstrate its strengths on moderate terrain. With good rolling characteristics and a certain amount of smoothness, you can quickly reach your destination. The fairly balanced geometry also ensures comfortable rides. The comfort and handling over hill and dale also fit into the overall picture and contribute to the bike's all-round capabilities. The voluminous WTB Riddler tires ensure good grip and comfort thanks to their good profile and 45mm width. However, because of this and clearly also because of the lavish weight of the E-Allroad, you have to put up with a little more time to get it up to speed. But once the Corratec rolls, it lies well on the track and is on the right track.

So it can be seen quite quickly that the Corratec E-Graveller is quite broadly based in order to be able to cover a large number of possible applications. Thanks to robust and, above all, in-house attachments such as handlebars, stem, seat post and crank made of aluminum, the longevity and functionality of the bike is brought to the fore without frills, which also contributes to the all-round capabilities of E-Allroads.
