Popular sport: As the BDR has now announced, the 2021 RTF season will be extended until October 31st. The background is that many clubs want to stick to this year's bike tours and hope for a significant relaxation of the Corona situation in the second half of the season. The BDR would like to defuse the resulting overlapping of dates by extending the season.
The 2021 BDR RTF season will be extended until October 31st. After the proposal of the commission for mass sports and the vote of the state associations, there was a broad agreement for the extension of the date. BDR consultant Bruno Nettesheim from the BDR office explains: "Many clubs do not want to simply cancel their bike tour and are counting on a significant relaxation of the Corona situation in the second half of the season. Due to the postponements, there are a large number of overlapping dates that we want to avoid by extending the season.” According to the report, there were only a few critical dissenting votes for the extension of the 2021 RTF season. The participants with BDR rating cards are required to send their red cards to their club immediately after the last RTF driven so that they can settle accounts with the national association as quickly as possible. Incidentally, the seasonal shift does not apply to cyclists in the BDR. The 2021 cycling season will traditionally end on October 15th, the new season will start a day later on October 16th.
