Cycling news: With pre-reg, amateur athletes now have a system for pre-registration for all daily events in the BDR amateur sport calendar. Shortly before the respective RTF and CTF event, the participant will then receive a separate QR code after registering online, which enables contactless self-check-in - including printing out the shirt number and starting card.
A Corona-compliant and contactless pre-registration for all daily events of the BDR popular sports calendar now enables amateur athletes to pre-reg. With the online pre-registration system, several important points should be covered directly. This not only enables participants to register safely and contactless for RTF and CTF events, especially now during the corona pandemic, the tool should also offer the organizers planning security. With pre-reg, the organizers have an overview of the pre-registrations and can thus react to the upper limits set by the authorities, for example. The system not only automatically closes the registration when the maximum number of participants is reached, but also divides the participants directly into starting blocks - this effectively limits the number of participants in the starting area at the same time. Of course, the weather can also throw a spanner in the works for the organizers. With pre-reg, the organizer has security if he has bought for 500 participants and only 50 come because according to the weather app it could rain. The BDR expressly emphasizes that the pre-registration via pre-reg, which also entails a pre-payment, is not absolutely necessary - the use is therefore voluntary. The service is not offered free of charge, but should be inexpensive compared to other pre-registration systems and also be 100% tailored to mass cycling. On request, pre-reg will even take over the SEPA collection of the entry fee.
