Cycling: Giacomo Nizzolo won the Clasica de Almeria ahead of Florian Sénéchal and Martin Laas. The European champion celebrates his first win of the season.
Nizzolo wins wild sprint
The 34th Clasica de Almeria goes to Giacomo Nizzolo (Qhubeka – Assos). The Italian won the 183,3-kilometer one-day race from Pueblo de Vicar to Roquetas de Mar in a bunch sprint. The podium is completed by the French Florian Sénéchal (Deceuninck – Quick Step) and the Estonian Martin Laas (Bora – hansgrohe). With the German Pascal Ackermann (Bora – hansgrohe), the winner of the last two events did not start.
