The 10 best e-gravel bikes of 2021
Orbea Gain
With the Gain, the Basques from Orbea had an e-gravel bike in their range long before the competition. The concept of a compact and light hub motor with a small battery still has its appeal for sporty e-gravel bikers today. It is not visually recognizable as an e-bike and even the inexpensive entry-level model with an aluminum frame remains well under 15 kilograms. The fact that the engine "only" delivers 40 Nm should be bearable in view of the other key data.
Price: 2.439 euros – 8.779 euros
Bull's Grinder EVO CX
Hardtail or gravel bike? Why not both? The Grinder EVO CX from Bulls combines the off-road capability of a hardtail MTB with a suspension fork and extremely comfortable seat post with a sporty seating position, drop handlebars and gravel tires. The whole thing is powered by a powerful Bosch CX motor with a battery integrated in the down tube. An e-bike for really every tour, whether asphalt or trails are on the program.
Price: 6.099 euros – 6.299 euros

Cannondale Topstone Neo Carbon
A full-suspension gravel bike with a full-fledged mid-engine and carbon frame - what initially sounds like a daring mix is a complete success with the Cannondale Topstone Neo Carbon. The 30 mm suspension travel at the front and rear not only makes trail rides more pleasant, but also filters out unpleasant vibrations on gravel roads or forest highways. Thanks to the CX motor from Bosch and a 500 Wh battery, there is also plenty of support power with a good range.
Price: 4.499 euros – 9.499 euros
Cannondale Topstone Carbon Neo Lefty: With MTB features for e-gravel fun
Test: With the Cannondale Topstone Carbon Neo Lefty 1, the well-known US manufacturer presented its first motorized gravel bike and wants to enable unlimited gravel fun with it. In addition to the Bosch Performance Line CX motor, the proven Lefty suspension fork system is also on board. Find out in our test whether this concept works with mountain bike features and e-support. The Cannondale Topstone […]

Canyon Grail:ON CF
With the Grail:ON, Canyon is fully committed to comfort, but as usual, it goes its own way. At the front, the optically polarizing Hover Bar handlebar absorbs vibrations noticeably, at the rear the in-house VCLS support does this job. Together with the rather relaxed geometry, long days in the saddle are no problem; With the Bosch CX, one of the currently most powerful mid-engines is responsible for e-power. The 500 Wh battery in the down tube of the carbon frame enables long ranges.
Price: 4.999 euros – 6.199 euros
BH Core Carbon GravelX
After BH surprisingly presented the Core GravelX, a new e-gravel bike with its own compact motor and large 540 Wh battery last year, the Basques are now following up with a carbon version. The motor has been improved, still delivering 65 Nm of torque, but now in a lighter magnesium housing. The capacity of the battery is still 540 Wh, but can now be increased to a total of 720 Wh with a range extender.
Price: 5.499 euros – 6.999 euros
Look E-765 Gravel
After the traditional manufacturer Look had previously ventured into the field of motorized bicycles with an e-racing bike, the French are now presenting an extremely exciting e-gravel bike with the E-765 Gravel. The Fazua drive combines low weight with low volume and relatively high support performance. It also teases out a pleasingly long range from the apparently small 250 Wh battery. Nice: The entire drive, including the battery, can be removed. This reduces the weight to less than 12 kg.
Price: € 5.999
Mustache Dimanche 29
The Mustache Dimanche 29 brings a breath of fresh air with its innovative approach. The manufacturer from Alsace consistently goes its own way. It starts with the motor: With the Bosch Performance Line, you make a conscious decision not to use the more powerful CX motor; this decision is rewarded with low volume and a very harmonious driving behavior. The semi-integrated 500 Wh battery "hangs" on the underside of the aluminum frame and ensures a low center of gravity and a full driving experience.
Price: 3.799 euros – 4.499 euros
Raymon Gravelray 7.0
The Raymon Gravelray can already stand out from the crowd with the choice of drive. The new PW-TE from Yamaha is used here, which delivers up to 60 Nm of torque and is particularly convincing with its harmonious tuning. Thanks to the 500 Wh battery in the aluminum down tube, day tours can also be easily mastered with one charge. The handlebars with flared ends improve handling off-road.

Specialized Turbo Creo SL EVO
With the Creo SL, Specialized is consistently continuing along the path that the Californians had already taken with their other e-bikes. A self-developed motor is also used here: The compact and light unit is located on the bottom bracket and delivers up to 35 Nm. That's less than the competition, but raw power isn't what should characterize the bike either: low weight and a balanced riding experience are in the foreground here. The perfect bike for sporty gravel racers - with built-in tailwind.
Price: 5.499 euros – 12.499 euros
Specialized Turbo Creo SL review: A new era for the road bike?
Product news: The US manufacturer Specialized has been advertising its Turbo models for some time with the slogan "It's you, only faster!" As you can imagine, these are bikes with e-assistance. With the Specialized Turbo Creo SL, the manufacturer has now presented its latest bike in the Turbo series: the first e-road bike or e-gravel bike from Specialized. Even before […]

Light, versatile and natural: the Overdrive Carbon Gravel from Centurion combines the properties that are particularly important to us in a modern e-gravel bike. With a total weight of less than 14 kilograms, it can be moved like a regular bike, while the Fazua drive provides quiet and sensitive support when the terrain demands it. Thanks to its high efficiency, the removable motor tickles a remarkably long range from the 250 Wh battery.
