Product news: Equipped with a brightness sensor and brake light function, the new Sigma Blaze rear light offers cyclists extra safety and comfort. The innovative rear light was already presented at the Eurobike in autumn. Now the Sigma Blaze is available in stores as a single product or in a complete set with the Aura 80 front light.
Sigma Sport promises more safety and comfort with the new Blaze rear light, which is now available. For this purpose, the StVZO-compliant rear light has two new features. The integrated brightness sensor detects the ambient light and automatically switches on night mode if necessary. According to the manufacturer, this not only works at dusk, but also when passing through tunnels or dark forest paths. Another feature is the brake light function, which signals other road users to brake. This function was implemented with an integrated acceleration sensor, so there is no direct contact with the brake lever as with a conventional brake light.

The rear light is switched off in daytime driving mode, only the brake light function with three LEDs lighting up is activated. In night driving mode, two LEDs light up when decelerating in addition to the continuous light. According to the manufacturer, the Sigma Blaze can be seen at a distance of up to 500 meters. Sigma specifies the burn time as up to seven hours, charging via USB should be done in three hours. The O-ring mount enables uncomplicated and tool-free attachment to the seat post. The rear light, which weighs just 22 grams, is available at a price of 24,95 euros or as a complete set with the Aura 80 front light for 79,95 euros. Exemplary: When it comes to lighting, Sigma Sport relies on plastic-free packaging and FSC-certified cardboard packaging.
