MTB News: In order to make it easier for young riders between the ages of 13 and 18 to advance to the professional level, Crankworx will be launching a new amateur racing class in 2020. Bridging the gap between Kidsworx and Crankworx, the CWNEXT class caters to both enthusiastic amateurs and aspiring professionals.

With Kidsworx, the youth program as part of the respective Crankworx World Tour stops, children and young people have been given the opportunity for a number of years to get a good taste of racing themselves. As a link between Kidsworx and Crankworx, the new amateur racing class CWNEXT for young drivers between the ages of 2020 and 13 will be introduced from 18. The junior class is intended to make it easier for young, ambitious and talented racers to advance to professional racing. CWNEXT competitions will therefore also be held at all stops of the Crankworx World Tour in the coming year. So of course in Innsbruck in mid-June, the only tour stop in Europe in 2020. Registration for the Crankworx Rotorua 2020 competitions has already started.
“The enthusiasm, the culture, the passion and the competitions at Crankworx provide very important impetus for our industry. You can't stand still in our scene - progress is the key to success. That's exactly what you see on CWNEXT. It's young talent competitions of this kind that set Crankworx apart from other mountain bike events. The next generation is the future. It is our responsibility to support and nurture this generation accordingly.” – David Zimberoff, Vice President of Marketing at SRAM
