MTB News / E-Performance: After the successful premiere two years ago, the Bosch eMTB Challenge 2019 is already entering its third round. For the upcoming season, no fewer than six events in six European countries are on the program of the competition series. As a further novelty, there will be an additional stage with a higher degree of difficulty in the "Advanced" category.
The Bosch eMTB Challenge supported by Trek is now in its third season this year. For the upcoming competition season there will be three big news. For the first time, the series will stop directly in six European countries. The Bosch eMTB Challenge 2019 will be a guest in Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Great Britain and Switzerland. What remains unchanged, however, is that the challenge is aimed at e-mountain bikers of different ages and performance classes. In order to meet this requirement, the organizers have an even larger range of routes ready. In the "Advanced" category, for example, an additional stage with a higher degree of difficulty will be held.
The stages in the "Amateur" and "Advanced" rating classes, some of which have challenging passages, are aimed at ambitious amateur riders and professionals alike. Since last year there has also been the "Explorer" category without a time rating. In this category, the e-bikers are allowed to bypass all stages, but instead have to pass some additional landmarks. Another big change concerns the number of slots. Due to the high demand last year, the starting places in 2019 are limited to 150 participants per event.
