Successful conclusion to a perfect season for the current world number 1: Alessandra Keller takes overall victory in the ÖKK Bike Revolution series

September 26, 2022 by Andrew Waldera

MTB News: The first season of the new Swiss racing series ÖKK Bike Revolution came to a wet end in Huttwil in Upper Aargau. Second place was enough for the current world number 1 Alessandra Keller (Team Thömus maxon) to win the series overall. The unleashed driving world champion Pauline Ferrand Prevot from France got the victory of the day.

There is no way around Alessandra Keller from Nidwalden this season. She is the current world number 1, overall world cup winner in cross country and short track, won two world cup races and is also Swiss champion. With second place at the ÖKK Bike Revolution in Huttwil, she has now also been able to win the title in the new Swiss racing series. Alessandra Keller relegated Anne Terpstra from the Netherlands, who started the final race with the same number of points, to second place overall. French world champion Pauline Ferrand-Prévot, on the other hand, secured the day's victory in Huttwil, demonstrating her class on the day. Already in the first lap she drove away from the overall World Cup winner and subsequently celebrated an unchallenged start-finish victory.

The Frenchman Titouan Carod won the men's overall ranking. For the 2023 season, the ÖKK Bike Revolution series is set to continue with five races. The dates have already been set, but still have to be confirmed by the UCI World Cycling Association.
