Product News: Zwift, the online training and gaming platform, today unveiled new routes, making it possible for cyclists around the world to experience New York City up close and personal from the comfort of their own homes.

The new routes from Zwift have been in development since 2017, so it is possible that shortly after the Zwift Innsbruck-Tirol 2018 UCI Road World Championship route with New York, the second route will appear this year. Along with Watopia, London and Richmond, NYC is now one of Zwift's fifth world.
New York as a city is familiar to many, but Zwift takes users into the future and time-jumps 100 years ahead into a futuristic vision of the city to make the training experience even more playful.
“Our New York world will blow you away. We set out to make your training even more fun because when you enjoy your training, you train harder. It's that simple. The escapism of our New York world will throw Zwifters back to their video game days as they walk and drive through our futuristic New York scenery, around Central Park and on the hanging glass streets above Manhattan. says Zwift Co-Founder and CEO Eric Min
At the heart of Zwifts New York is Central Park, the real home of many of the city's thousands of street cyclists. Here, Zwifters will be able to ride the 9,7 miles (XNUMX km) bypass route past famous landmarks such as The Guggenheim, The Met, El Dorado Hotel and Tavern on the Green.
