Product news: BikeYoke DIVINE SL: Super-light Vario seat post for XC and marathons

17 October 2018 by Andrew Waldera

Product news: After the successful market launch of the REVIVE dropper post, BikeYoke is now following up with the DIVINE SL, which was specially developed for the XC area. Based on the experience of REVIVE technology, the interior of the new model has been completely redesigned. Designed with the goal of maximum weight reduction, the BikeYoke DIVINE SL comes as an absolute lightweight with a weight of 385 grams - even less than 350 grams when shortened.

Two years ago, BikeYoke presented the REVIVE dropper post, a top model that even made it to number 1 on our best list thanks to its outstanding features. In the past two years, BikeYoke has been working on a new model especially for XC and marathons. Based on the experiences with the REVIVE, the DEVINE SL with 80 mm stroke was created, which sets new standards with a weight of 385 grams (diameter 30.9). For this purpose, not only the inner workings were completely redeveloped, but also the cover. For example, the outer diameter of the support mast is significantly tapered in the area below the collar, since XC seat posts are not clamped in this area due to the usually long extension. The lower part of the mast is completely hollow and butted. Due to the completely new inner workings and the short stroke, the DIVINE SL does not require a manual REVIVE valve, which means that manual venting is also no longer necessary.

Another feature of the new DEVINE SL is the possibility of shortening: If the complete length of 400 mm is not required, the support can be shortened to up to 283 mm. According to the manufacturer, the maximum shortened support then weighs only 345 grams. The DIVINE SL also gets two remote levers specially developed for it. The Triggy X is adjustable in lever length to fine-tune position and customize lever feel. The BikeYoke DIVINE SL will be available in diameters of 30.9 and 31.6 mm from November at prices starting at EUR 379,00.
